Course description
The course explains the purpose and content of the IMDG code and dangerous goods transportation by sea specifics in order to comply with the IMDG regulations dealing with the classification, packing, handling, carriage, stowage, and segregation of various classes of dangerous goods.

Course objectives
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- identify and classify the different types and categories of HAZMAT according to the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code.
- pack, label, mark, and document the HAZMAT properly as per the IMDG Code requirements.
- load, stow, secure, and segregate the HAZMAT on board the vessel in a safe and efficient manner.
- follow the emergency procedures and contingency plans in case of a HAZMAT incident or spill.
