Course Overview
This is a combination course of theory practical exercises. By the end of the course the learner will be able to:
- Recognise potential dangerous spaces aboard a vessel.
- Know how to complete an enclosed space entry ‘permit to work’.
- Know how to carry out safe testing of an atmosphere prior to entry using typical test equipment, including its maintenance and testing/calibration requirements.
- How to carry out a safe enclosed space entry.
- How to carry out self-rescue from an enclosed space
- How to carry out the role of safety attendant.
Entry Requirements
Students must have attended the STCW Basic Training course and hold a valid (in-date) certificate
