Purpose:

The course is designed to meet the requirements of STCW Convention, paragraph B-VIII / 2, Part 3-1. The course gives the commander and the officers responsible for keeping a navigational watch, guidance in the use of all available resources to ensure safe navigation. The program can be tailored to the specific operations of the shipping company.

Description:

Trainees who successfully complete this course will be able to design and execute a detailed navigation plan using specific ship procedures and achieve optimum utilization of all available resources, personnel and equipment, including effective communication skills within the ship's team; identify and effectively respond to potential hazards and emergencies.

Content:

• Introduction and principles of human resource management
• Communication efficiency
• Management, preparation for navigation, navigation, supervision and control, suspension of navigation
• Management in hazardous circumstances
• Guard structure on the bridge of command
• Taking over and performing guard duty
• Working with navigation equipment on the bridge

Condition:

• Identity card or passport

Remark:

After successfully completing the course, participants will receive a certificate of the completed course issued by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia
