During the STCW Designated Security Duties you will learn how to carry out assigned safety procedures when working on board of a ship. After completing this course you will know how to recognize safety risks and which procedures you need to follow. This course is meant for all maritime personnel, with exception of the Ship Security Officer, who is responsible for specific safety tasks. 

The course content is as follows:

• Security services, including piracy and armed robbery. How to recognize security breaches and threats
• Security threat procedures
• Inspection of security equipment
• Updating and check of Ship Security Plan
