Overview

A family of three, is seeking a talented, experienced and professional Live-in Private Chef to join their informal household, where high standards and attention to detail are valued.

The position is split between two stunning locations – a rural home in the Finnish countryside over the Spring and Summer, and a residence in Gstaad, Switzerland over the Autumn/Winter.

This is a unique opportunity for a confident, adaptable chef who enjoys preparing fresh, seasonal meals and thrives in a dynamic, yet down-to-earth household environment.

Job duties
Responsibilities of the Private Chef in Finland & Switzerland include:

• Prepare nutritious, well-balanced, and varied meals – breakfast, lunch, and dinner – Monday to Friday, for the family and their Nanny
• Occasionally cook for guests and extended family
• Weekend food prep and planning
• Daily menu discussions with the family
• Ensure the kitchen is clean, stocked and organisedManage inventory, food shopping, collection & online ordering

Candidates must be/have:

• Minimum five years’ experience as a Private Chef in private residences
• Skilled in creating fresh, seasonal, health-conscious meals, and occasional deserts
• Confident with allergen-aware cooking (as there are multiple family allergies and one vegetarian)
• Fluent English speaking
• Fluent Finnish (desirable but not essential)
• Professional, adaptable, discrete, and solution-oriented
• Strong menu planning and kitchen management background
• Excellent time management and attention to detail
• An EU passport holder
• A valid driving licence
• No uniform required, but must be neat and well-presented
• Highly organised with excellent communication skills
• Happy to work around pets, as the family has several large dogs
• Physically fit – both properties have multiple flights of stairs
• Comfortable working independently, but also collaboratively with a broader household team

Accommodation
Live-in position. Private accommodation provided at both residences.

Location
Finland (remote countryside): Spring/Summer.

Gstaad, Switzerland: Autumn and Winter.

Both homes are in peaceful, scenic settings – ideal for someone who appreciates nature and quiet environments.

Hours
Full-time hours, Monday to Friday.

Salary
6,000 – 8,000 CHF per month.
