Housekeeper/House Manager | Windsor, Surrey/Berkshire, UK

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior/Head Housekeeper to take on a Housekeeper/House Manager position for a five-bedroom family home in Windsor.

This is a full-time position, including housekeeping, cooking, and day-to-day management of three members of staff, plus administrative duties.

This role is Monday to Friday.

Job duties
Responsibilities of the Housekeeper/House Manager for a family home in Windsor include:

House Management:

• Lead and oversee a team of three household staff, managing schedules and ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the home
• Monitor and manage house budgets
• Maintain household inventories
• Act as the primary point of contact for contractors, service providers, and suppliers
• Handle a range of household admin tasks, including coordinating maintenance
• Ensure the household operates in compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a secure and well-run environment

Housekeeping:

• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the home
• Perform tasks including cleaning, polishing, dusting, laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management
• Prepare simple vegetarian meals following recipes, focusing on weekend meal prep and freezing meals for the family
• Manage grocery shopping and ensure the household is well-stocked
• Care for household pets
• Occasionally assist with gardening and equine duties

Candidates must/be have:

• Proven experience as a Senior/Head Housekeeper within UHNW households
• A capable cook
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of the family’s privacy
• Proactive and self-motivated
• Fluent in English – spoken and written
• Valid driving licence and own car
• Non-smoker (preferred)

Location
Windsor, Berkshire/Surrey border, UK.

Hours
Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00.

Salary
£50,000 – £55,000, depending on experience/prior earnings.

Discretionary bonus.
