Manny/Nanny & Family Assistant Position

About Our Family

We are an active family with boys ages 10 and 14 who enjoy a variety of sports and outdoor activities including land and water. We live in a household that value outdoor activities, family, friends, and a healthy and happy house. 

Position Overview

We are seeking an energetic, responsible, and versatile Manny/Nanny/House Assistant who can provide childcare, activity coordination, and house responsibilites. 

Primary Responsibilities

Childcare & Activities

• Provide attentive care and supervision for two boys (ages 10 and 13)
• Encourage and participate in physical activities and sports 
• Lacrosse
• Soccer
• Football
• Basketball
• Hockey
• Skiing and/or snowboarding
• Surfing
• Fishing
• Spear fishing
• Diving
• to name a few.... :) 
• Motivate children to engage in outdoor play and physical activities when they might prefer screen time
• Supervise swimming in pool, ocean, and boat settings
• Balance nurturing support with appropriate discipline and structure
• Boating & Water Activities
• Assist with boys, friends, captain and family during regular family boating excursions on our 58' vessel
• Demonstrate competence in basic boating operations including docking assistance
• Capable of taking the wheel when required
• Ensure safety during all water-based activities

Organization & Household Support

• Manage and coordinate children's schedules (school, sports, activities, appointments)
• Assist with household organization and various errands
• Work collaboratively with other household staff as part of our house team
• Contribute to overall household operations beyond direct childcare duties when children are not around 

Qualifications & Attributes

• Prior experience with children of all ages would be great 
• Strong swimming abilities and comfort in all water environments
• Boating experience required
• Knowledge of and interest in multiple sports, particularly those listed above
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Balance of empathy and authority in childcare approach
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Self-motivated with a proactive work ethic
• Team player mentality who thrives in collaborative environments
• Ability to anticipate needs and take initiative without constant direction
