Temporary 2nd Engineer – Private 100m+ M/Y
Start: 22nd of April
Itinerary: Middle East
Salary: Paid in Euros, inclusive of leave
Skills and Attributes Required:
- Proven record and longevity in operation and maintenance of HVAC systems – Cruise background preferred
- Proficient in Boiler plant and its auxiliary’s operation and maintenance – Cruise background preferred
- Proficient in Deck hydraulic systems operation and maintenance – Cruise background preferred
- Proficient in EDG (Caterpillar) – Emergency diesel generator operation and maintenance – Cruise background preferred
- Proficient in Mooring equipment operation and maintenance – Cruise background preferred
- The other duties of the Second Engineer include but are not limited to scheduling and assigning the daily work of subordinate engineers and engine ratings, keeping track of their regular and overtime working hours, ensuring that all machinery, fighting, and safety equipment within the engine room is working correctly and according to the company standards and international safety regulations.
- The Second Engineer has the overall responsibility for assisting the First Engineer with the maintenance and repair (including but not limited to the systems outlined above) and, in this respect, is directly subordinate to him/her.
- ABB Azipod experience is a great advantage.
- Caterpillar 3516 experience is a great advantage.
- AMOS/IDEA PMS (or similar) experience is a must
Qualifications Required:
- Second engineer Unlimited or Chief engineer Unlimited/Commercial
- Crowd & Crisis Management
- STCW (Fully Updated) with PDSD
- Seafarer’s Medical Certificate 6 months’ validation or more
- Seaman’s discharge book
- Covid vaccinations & booster (client request)

Work Experience Requirements:
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.
Language Requirements:
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
Certificates and Qualifications:
A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
