47 meter private yacht is looking for a seasonal Chef.
This yacht is currently in Seattle and will be cruising to Canada and Alaska and surrounding areas.
Our ideal Chef has a calm and collected attitude with a focus on healthy comfort American/Italian food. Simple and clean presentation using quality ingredients that impress the guests on taste over extravagance. Ability to keep an enjoyable menu for 8 weeks with guests onboard while fine tuning and repeating favorite dishes. Fresh baked breads, minimal breakfasts, light desserts, and focus on portion control for guests. Ability to provide the same great food for crew while providing healthy portions but not creating excessive leftovers to manage a food costs.
We will be based in Seattle for May and June, traveling the Washington San Juan’s through BC and Alaska during July/August, and back in Seattle for September. The ideal candidate is past the party stage of yachting, will enjoy the cooler early summer temperatures of Seattle having the option to explore the area before/after trips during down time, and excited to cruise BC and Alaska with guests onboard. Current crew all have a healthy mindset, outdoorsy, enjoy yoga/running/biking/winter snow sports, minimal drinking/parting, and fulltime crew have homes in the area so are often at home during time off.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
