About this role

Rotational Storekeeper position for a 90m+ Support vessel

Approachable and helpful with a can-do attitude. As Storekeeper you will be dealing with all departments as point of contact regarding stores received.

Start date:  April 8th

Location:    Middle East/Europe

Package:    Salary in Euros, 176 days leave per year.

Responsibilities and experience:

* Min 2 yrs as storekeeper, either onboard or in relevant marine business ashore.

* To keep fully updated inventory of spare parts and consumables

* To Create/combine enquiries from departments to send to vendors.

* Have good record maintenance skills using computer and related software applications such as TM Master.

* Be familiar with inventory principles and practices; proper methods of store keeping, including the receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of supplies.

* Review different quotes, submit for HOD approval, followed by Captain approval.

* Follow up delivery/receival of spares/consumables.

* Receiving vendors invoices and processing these as per onboard procedure.

* To update purchase log as changes come in.

* To control and prepare landing manifests as required by HODs.

* Control, registration and updating data on regular bases. Editing and spares inventory entry input will be required as needed.

* Use bar code equipment (when and if implemented) for registration and update.

* To keep storage spaces/shelves/boxes of spares-consumables clear, clean and tidy.

* Ability to conduct efficient communication in very good English, verbal and written.

Documents required:

* Forklift license will be advantageous
* STCW full updated with PDSD
* Seafarer’s Medical Certificate (with 6 months’ validity)
* Seaman’s Discharge Book
* Covid vaccinations – initial shots and booster ‘client request)

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
