Travelling Housekeeper

Overview

Our client is looking for an energetic, dynamic, and dedicated Housekeeper to maintain the impeccable standards of a semi-formal household in Belgravia, London, SW1.

This role requires flexibility in terms of days and hours, with occasional changes depending on the needs of the household. The Housekeeper will be comfortable travelling for up to six months of the year – to destinations including Switzerland, France and USA – and will be provided with accommodation during travel.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced individual to take on a highly varied Housekeeping position, working alongside a large friendly and supportive team.

Job duties
Responsibilities of the Travelling Housekeeper in Belgravia, London, include:

• Keeping the house clean and tidy throughout the day
• General laundry and ironing, including daily laundry, ironing and change of towels, plus weekly change of bedding
• Washing, ironing, and steaming and organising clothes, arranging regular dry cleaning, shoe repair, etc
• Maintain upkeep of furniture, art, china, collectables, crystal, and silver polishing
• Keep a constant supply of household essentials (water, coffee, etc) and cleaning materials
• Prepare for the arrival of visitors and various needs when staying
• Assistance with luggage, packing and unpacking for journeys
• Shopping and ad hoc errands as required
• Maintenance when principals are not in residence
• Coordinating deliveries and maintenance visits
• Occasional dog care
• Cooking simple, tasty, classic meals (beneficial, but not required)

Candidates must be/have:

• Experience in a similar Housekeeping position in UHNW Household
• British residency or be UK Passport holder
• Longevity in previous positions
• Well-presented, discreet with exceptional high standards
• Ability to travel with the family
• A highly adaptable and flexible approach
• Dog friendly
• Very good written and verbal references
• Fluent English
• A valid driving licence – would be desirable
• Capable cook – would be desirable

Accommodation
Accommodation will be provided when out of London / travelling.

Hours
Five days a week – to be discussed at interview stage.

Flexible hours, 10:00 – 19:00

Location
London (SW1), Switzerland, France and USA.

Salary
Up to £65,000, depending on experience.
