Chief Engineer (Permanent Position 18 months worldtrip)

For BlueCruise (bluecruise.world) we are currently looking for an experienced Chief Engineer onboard of icebreaker superyacht M/Y Prometej (45m motor yacht). You will be working in a crew of 9 and report directly to the Captain. Duties include

- Machinery and Systems Maintenance
- Safety and Compliance with SOLAS, Class regulation, etc.
- Repairs and Troubleshooting, maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools
- Supervise and train the second engineer, deckhands, and other crew members involved in engineering tasks
- Keep detailed logbooks and records of maintenance, repairs, fuel consumption, and engine hours, report to Captain and management company

- Support tender and toy operations

- Shipyard and Refit Management

Additional qualifications and interests are welcome. English fluency is a must

English language is spoken on board. This is a non-rotational job, you should be available for 18 months. Holidays are of course granted.

This is a great chance to see the morst remote places of the world and to work with a young and motivated team on a classic yacht.
