Yacht Manager – UK / Monaco

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated individual to join a well-established Yacht Management Department. As a Yacht Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of yachts, ensuring smooth operations, regulatory compliance, and excellence in yacht management services.

Your Experience:

  • At least five years of experience in yacht management or a similar shoreside maritime role.
  • Senior Officer experience on yachts >500GT.
  • Strong understanding of ISM, maritime legislation, and safety management systems (SMS).
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in English and advanced computer skills.
  • Valid passport with at least six months' validity.
  • Right to live and work in the UK or Europe (if required).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the central point of contact for assigned yachts, liaising with captains, crew, and the owner's team.
  • Ensure seamless communication between the yacht, company departments, and clients.
  • Monitor budgets, approve invoices, and oversee insurance and service contracts.
  • Coordinate audits, technical inspections, and compliance with Flag State and Class Society requirements.
  • Assist with yacht handovers, onboardings, and safety certifications.
  • Manage crew employment procedures, payroll, and compliance with MLC 2006.
  • Provide financial oversight, including budget monitoring and reporting.
  • Support the Compliance and Technical Teams in ensuring safety standards and managing emergencies.

Location: UK or Monaco
Salary: Competitive (DOE)
Start Date: ASAP

The ideal candidate will commute to the office three days per week and demonstrate flexibility, a dynamic approach, and teamwork. This full-time role includes significant travel.

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
