About this role

Rotational 3rd Officer – Private Yacht 100 m+ MY

  • Start date: 16th of February     
  • Location: Europe / Middle East
  • Package: Salary in Euros, 176 paid days leave


Experience and attributes required:

  • Over a year’s experience on 80m+ MY, preferably cruise ship background 

Tender operations experience 

HLO preferred  

  • Responsibility for maintenance of navigational equipment, publications and electronic charts and radio/GMDSS :
  • Responsible to the Master & Chief Officer, forming a part of the Bridge and port watch keeping team as an Officer of the Watch (OOW). 
  • Responsible for maintenance and readiness of all safety, firefighting and lifesaving apparatus, as required by the Safety Officer. 
  • Garbage Management Officer: Undertaking and fulfilling the duties of Ship’s Garbage Management Officer for the yacht and Garbage record book upkeep 
  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of hull, deck machinery and safety equipment as directed by the Chief Officer. 
  • Supervise launching & recovery of tenders and toys as required, ensuring best practices are maintained. 
  • Hard working, team player


Qualifications required:

  • Officer of Watch Unlimited
  • HLO preferred.
  • Powerboat Level II preferred.
  • Crowd & Crisis Management,
  • PDSD
  • Fully updated STCW
  • Proficiency in Designated Security Duties
  • Seafarer’s Medical Certificate (Min 6 months validity)
  • Seaman’s Discharge Book
  • Schengen visa or right to work in Europe

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.

Language Requirements:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
