Captain and Stew member as a couple for brandnew 24m MY

Are you interested in working with an established yachting family on a brandnew 24m MY?

The owners family has lots of boating experience and consists of 2 adults plus 2 teenagers. The season is from May to End of August or mid of September. During the period the owner family will not be on board for more than 8 weeks in total. Guests may come occasionally.

As it is a small boat with 2 crew members only we are looking for supportive characters as the Captain will be doing lots of deckhand works and the stewardess is asked to do food preparation and cooking as well. Most of the time the family will eat outside but then stewardess has to take care for the crew in that case.

The family is seeing the first year as a trial period to get to know each other. And it would be welcomed to continue working together in the forthcoming years.

We are looking for a Captain and a stewardess
• Malta as homebase
• Summer Trip to Italy
• Only private boat use
• Experienced cruising family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers
• Owner loves to do the manoevers himself so Captain is then doing the lines with the stew.
• Low guest numbers
• April until end of August / Mid of September 2025

Captain’s abilities & duties
• All relevant driving licenses
• Good experience in driving similar MY
• Taking care for safety (People and Vessel)
• Moving vessel in emergency case
• Routine Cleaning on a daily basis
• Stainless Steel Polishing
• Hull Cleaning
• Handling of Lines during Mouring
• Land Lines whilst anquoring
• Taking care for the water toys, preperation while on anchor, cleaning and tidiing up
• Watch the vessel when it is on anchor and the family is off board!!!!
• Driving the tender
• Towing kids whilst waterskiing
• Be supportive to stewardess if there is nothing else to be done
• General Maintenance work when owner family is not on board
• Supervising warranty works

Stewardess should be supportive to the owners family (2 adults plus 2 teenagers). Guests will only be on board very occasionally.
Stewardesses abilities & duties
• Food preparation or barbecuing (breakfast, lunch and dinner) – as well for the Captain and Crew
• Purchasing the food
• Cleaning of galley
• Chamber management of the 4 cabins
• Cocktail making would be fancy
• Inside cleaning
• Assistance of Captain during manoevers
• Line handling in Marina
• Be supportive to other Crew if there is nothing else to be done
• There is no other service staff in this position as such stew should be fine with the table set-up and meal / kitchen cleanup.
• Diverse culinary repertoire is fancied
• Comfortable with owner interaction
• Can work well within a family setting
• Maintains a clean workstation
