I am working with a global Yacht Management company, who have an opportunity to work in their Fort Lauderdale office Accounts Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual who has previous experience working in a Senior Yacht Accounting role.
You will be required to reside within a commuter distance from the Fort Lauderdale office. Candidates must have the existing right to live and work in the USA. No sponsorship will be offered as part of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all financial aspects of yacht accounts, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple yacht accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Liaise with yacht owners, captains, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Conduct regular financial audits and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Provide financial advice and support to clients to help them make informed decisions.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and other financial transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely submission.
- Minimum 2 years in Yacht Accounting.
- Experience working on-board large superyachts
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Desirable - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Desirable - Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) preferred.
Work Experience Requirements:
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.
Language Requirements:
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
Certificates and Qualifications:
All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.
A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
