Wilsonhalligan have a Yacht Manager position available based in Fort Lauderdale.

My client is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join their Yacht Management Department. As a Yacht Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of yachts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and delivering the highest standard of excellence in yacht management services to clients.

Your experience:

  • Proven experience in yacht management or a similar shoreside maritime role
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety management systems (SMS)
  • Experience managing yacht compliance with Flag State, Class Society, and statutory regulations
  • Ability to manage client relationships and liaise with captains, crew, and other stakeholders
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Experience with commercial opportunities such as refits or new builds
  • Prior experience with safety management, audits, and certifications is a plus

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the delivery of yacht management services for a portfolio of yachts
  • Act as the lead point of contact for all client matters
  • Ensure compliance with company safety management systems, statutory certifications, and crew documentation
  • Identify commercial opportunities such as refits or new yacht acquisitions
  • Engage with clients, captains, and crew to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Participate in emergency response and safety management as per company procedures
  • Manage financial and operational reporting for yachts

Location: Fort Lauderdale
Salary: $90k - $120k (DOE)
Start: January 2024

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
