Overview

We’ve an exciting permanent opportunity for a Private Chalet Manager, with fluency in English and German, to oversee a luxury family-owned 25,000 sq ft. chalet in the heart of St. Moritz.

This prestigious chalet, used as a winter retreat by a UHNW family, is a beautifully designed haven for relaxation and entertainment. The family resides primarily over the festive season and throughout the ski season. They are seeking a proactive, professional, and conscientious Chalet Manager to ensure seamless operations, impeccable service, and a welcoming environment for their family and guests. When the Principals are in residence, the role may require flexibility and longer hours to ensure their needs are met.

The Chalet Manager will work closely with a Head Housekeeper, and additional staff brought into from other properties during peak periods.

Job duties
Responsibilities of the Chalet Manager in St. Moritz include:

• Oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, and overall readiness of the chalet, ensuring the highest standards are upheld
• Supervise the Head Housekeeper and coordinate additional staffing requirements during family visits
• Maintain excellent communication with the family and their Private PA in Italy to manage schedules, logistics, and special requests
• Provide attentive and discreet front-facing service, including hosting and entertaining guests during their stay
• Lead by example, stepping in to assist with last-minute tasks or ensure smooth operations where required
• Anticipate the family’s needs by arranging thoughtful touches such as fresh flowers, treats for children, or special celebration preparations
• Leverage local knowledge of St. Moritz to enhance the family’s experience, from arranging bespoke activities to sourcing high-quality suppliers

Candidates must be/have:

• Proven experience in a similar Chalet Manager, House Manager, or luxury property management role for UHNW families
• EU passport or the right to work in Switzerland
• Fluent English and German language skills
• Strong leadership and organisational skills, balanced with a hands-on, approachable style
• A warm and welcoming personality capable of creating a relaxed yet high-standard environment
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of anticipating needs with precision
• A valid driver’s licence and willingness to assist with driving if required
• Knowledge of the St. Moritz area, including trusted local suppliers and services – is desirable
• Experience in luxury property, yachting, or chalet management – is highly desirable

Accommodation
Private accommodation in the apartment.

Location
St. Moritz area.

Hours
Approximately 35 hours per week (Monday – Friday), with the expectation of flexibility.

Additional hours may be required during family stays, offset by quieter periods when the chalet is unoccupied.

Salary
4,000 CHF per month + accommodation.
