House Manager for UHNW Holiday Residence | St. Moritz, Switzerland

Overview

We’ve an exciting opportunity for a House Manager to oversee a private family’s 25,000 sq. ft. luxury holiday home in St. Moritz. This exquisite property is owned by a European UHNW family and is primarily used for winter breaks, with an extended stay over Christmas and occasional visits throughout the ski season. The family is seeking a warm, proactive, and professional House Manager to ensure seamless operations, high-level service, and a welcoming environment for family and guests.

The House Manager will join an existing Head Housekeeper at the property, and work with other staff brought in from other properties when the family is in residence.

Job duties

Responsibilities of the House Manager in St Moritz include:

• Oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, and readiness of the residence
• Supervise the permanent Head Housekeeper and arrange for additional staff from other properties during periods of occupancy
• Maintain strong communication with the family and their Private PA in Italy to coordinate movements, guest logistics, staffing needs, and special requests
• Provide front-facing service with warmth and professionalism, including entertaining and hosting guests during family stays
• Lead by example and step in as needed to ensure smooth operations, whether assisting staff or attending to last-minute requests
• Anticipate needs by organising fresh flowers, arranging special details (e.g., treats for children or birthday celebrations)
• Utilise knowledge of the St. Moritz area to enhance the family’s experience, from sourcing local services to managing logistics

Candidates must be/have:

• Strong experience in a similar House Manager role working for UHNW family
• EU Passport/Right to work in Switzerland
• Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a team while maintaining a hands-on, approachable style
• Fluent in English and German, with excellent communication skills
• A warm and welcoming demeanour, capable of creating a relaxed but high-standard environment
• Proactive and detail-oriented, always thinking ahead to anticipate family and guest needs
• A valid driver’s licence and willingness to drive when required
• Knowledge of the St. Moritz area, including local suppliers and services
• Experience in luxury property, yachting, or chalet management is highly desirable

Location
Based in the wider St. Moritz area.

Accommodation can be provided for a Live-in House Manager or flexibility is available for a Live-out arrangement if the candidate resides locally.

Hours
Flexible hours, with increased activity during family visits and downtime when the property is unoccupied.
