• Auckland based (10 months) Fiji (2 months)
• Live ashore, 5 day working week

A high profile 40m Private MY is on the search for a sole engineer to join their established program.

The crew largely work a 5-day working week and all maintain a home base in Auckland.

The vessel operates purely around NZ waters mostly fishing, 10 months / year

Mid-winter the vessel heads to Fiji for a guest trip, with gap in between where the engineer has the opportunity to fly back to New Zealand to for a mini break.

Powered by twin MTU engines.

The engineer must be hands on and can assimilate well into a small crew environment where everyone pitches in to get the job done, occasionally assisting on deck

Handover given from outgoing engineer of several years

• Trade Qualified or good engineering time on yachts or commercial
• Flexible on COC
• Interested in a semi land-based lifestyle in Auckland
• Good technical knowledge
• Strong troubleshooting skills

• Great preventative maintenance skills
• Easy going personality
• STCW
• Working rights in NZ

Salary: DOE, paid in NZ Dollars + standard NZ benefits
