Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Live-out Housekeeper/Family Liaison to clean and oversee the maintenance of a variety of properties, including large family homes and smaller mews properties in Central London and Marlow.

While some of the larger properties are used more frequently, the smaller mews homes are often unoccupied for much of the year.

From June to September, when the family is visiting from Saudi Arabia, the housekeepers will assist the family’s own general housekeepers and provide concierge-style services.

Job duties

Cleaning and Housekeeping

• Weekly cleaning of Central London properties; supervise casual staff before family visits
• Ensure properties are ready for family occupancy, including preparing linen, towels, and kitchen supplies
• Check clocks, air conditioning, TV systems, phones, walkie-talkies, and house plants
• Organise services such as window cleaning, pest control, pool maintenance, and carpet cleaning

Family Communication & Requests

• Respond promptly to family messages and email requests
• Handle shopping, prescriptions, and general errands

Concierge & Guest Assistance

• Meet & greet family at the airport; liaise with security on access arrangements
• Arrange doctor/dentist visits and activities for children
• Ensure smooth guest arrangements and oversee contractors when family is in residence

Office & Admin Duties

• Manage parcels, import duties, and post for the family
• Maintain simple accounts for expenses and assist with contractor arrangements
• Collaborate with other estate employees on maintenance tasks

General Responsibilities

• Notify security about visitor access
• Control budgets and ensure maintenance contracts adhere to approved limits
• Manage personal and property expenses as required

Additional Duties

• Flexibility is required for reasonable tasks that may arise

Candidates must be/have:

• Experience in a similar position
• UK Passport/Right to work in the UK
• A valid driving licence
• Highly organised with a flexible attitude
• A high degree of resilience

Hours
In-season (June to September): 55 hours/week (Monday – Saturday)

Out-of-season: 35 hours/week (Monday – Friday)

Location
Working across 7 properties – 2 in London and 5 in Marlow.

Salary
Live-out: £40,000 – £43,000

Pension – Auto-enrollment after probation.
Holiday – 20 days + Bank Holidays (1 week in peak season).
Overtime – Paid or taken as time off in lieu.
