Head of Compliance and Designated Person Ashore (DPA)
Location: South of France
Position: Full-Time
A prestigious superyacht company based in the stunning South of France is seeking a Head of Compliance and Designated Person Ashore (DPA) to join their dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to ensure the highest standards of compliance and safety within the superyacht industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and implement compliance policies and procedures in line with international maritime regulations and company standards.
- Act as the Designated Person Ashore (DPA), ensuring effective communication between the yacht and shore management.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with safety and operational protocols.
- Provide training and guidance to crew members on compliance matters and best practices.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders to maintain up-to-date knowledge of compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in a compliance role within the maritime or superyacht sector.
- Ideally DPA, CSO & ISM Lead Auditor
- Strong understanding of ISM Code, ISPS Code, and other relevant maritime regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Relevant certifications in maritime safety and compliance are preferred.

Work Experience Requirements:
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.
Language Requirements:
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
Certificates and Qualifications:
All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.
A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
