An exciting opportunity has become available for a deckhand located in Australia to join a high profile 50m private MY with excellent reputation and mentoring opportunities.

The vessel runs a super high standard, and the deckhand will work under a very experienced Bosun & 1st Officer across all deck operations.

The position would suit a deckhand with a seasons experience looking for their first major full-time position and will offer a year’s commitment to the vessel / program.

The vessel will be an excellent springboard into the bigger yacht scene in Europe & the states, getting trained to a very high standard.

The deckhand can live onboard or ashore and must contribute to the weekly watch schedule.

The vessel is based in Sydney for 8-9 months / year , averaging about 2 trips / month with time away over winter in Whitsundays , Gold Coast and possibly the South Pacific Islands.

Must have STCW, seafarer medical, minimum of a seasons experience and available to commence ASAP

Open to candidates on working holiday visas and long-term sponsorship option is available

Salary: $70,000 AUD + Super DOE
