The boat 

The vessel is a 45 m private Benetti M/Y with 8 crew on board with Malta flag. 

The project

A 45 meter busy private M/Y is looking for a First Mate ready to start working in October. The yacht is having a small shipyard period this winter and expecting a busy summer with the owners.

The first contract will be a seasonal one, but we are looking for someone who is looking for a long-term commitment and would be happy to extend the contract for a permanent one if the season goes well.

We are looking for someone who is looking to step up on a bigger boat and keen on learning from an experienced captain and happy to help out with paper work as well as helping on the deck and be an active part of the deck team. 

You will be also in charge of the tender boat, which is an 11m powerful Boston Whaler

The desired profile

  • We are looking for a candidate who has CAP200 or 500 or OOW and ECDIS is mandatory and someone with experience navigation during the night.
  • Someone with solid Tender Driving skills and good team spirit
  • You must speak fluently English. 
  • You must be extremely positive, relaxed, have a good sense of human relations, and no issues with authority.
  • Need to be around Antibes for interview

Salary : negotiable, depending on your profile.

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
