Dear Candidate,

We are seeking an experienced and versatile Cook/Stew to join our crew as the second key member supporting the unique needs of our operation alongside the Captain. This dynamic role spans both hospitality and light deck duties across two vessels—a 76' superyacht and a 51' sailing yacht. You’ll primarily assist with day charters and support the owner, who resides on board frequently.

As part of the crew, you'll have your own cabin and shower within the crew quarters on our well-appointed 51' sailing yacht. Our schedule includes summers in Boston and winters in the Bahamas starting in November, balancing private usage with selective charters. This position offers a competitive base salary for the private usage of the owner along with opportunities for additional revenue during day charters

If you're passionate about delivering excellent guest experiences in a family-oriented environment and are looking for a position with travel and variety, we'd love to hear from you!

General Responsibilities:

  1. Housekeeping and Cleaning:
    •  You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in all interior and exterior areas, including cabins, bathrooms, the salon, galley, and other living spaces.
    • Additionally, you'll handle laundry and ironing for both guests and crew.
  2. Guest Services:
    •  We expect you to provide exceptional hospitality services to the family and their guests, including serving meals and beverages, assisting with activities, and ensuring all their needs are met.
  3. Meal Preparation and Service:
    • Your role will involve assisting with or preparing meals as required, setting tables, and serving food and drinks to guests.
  4. Inventory Management:
    •  You will manage supplies and provisions, including food, beverages, and cleaning products, ensuring that everything is well-stocked and organized.
  5. Communication:
    •  Acting as a liaison between the family and other crew members, you'll communicate guest preferences or special requests to the relevant crew.

Deck Duties:

  1. Maintenance and Repairs:
    •  You will perform routine maintenance tasks on deck, such as washing, polishing, and varnishing, and assist with minor repairs and upkeep of deck equipment.
  2. Line Handling and Mooring:
    •  Your duties will include handling lines and fenders during docking and undocking, as well as assisting with mooring operations.
  3. Tender Operations:
    •  You'll be responsible for launching and retrieving tenders and operating them to transport guests and supplies as needed.

We believe this adapted role will be a good fit for the dynamic environment of managing our vessels and ensuring our family's comfort and satisfaction.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further clarification.
