Housekeeper/Laundress – Italy

Silver Swan is currently seeking a dedicated Housekeeper/Laundress to join our lovely returning client’s household in Milano in Italy, catering to the laundry needs of a family comprising 8 members. This Housekeeper/Laundress role involves managing the washing, ironing, and organisation of highly delicate and expensive clothing, including prestigious fabrics such as cashmere. Beyond laundry duties, the position requires attention to detail in maintaining the cleanliness and order of private areas within the household. The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of experience in handling various fabrics with precision and professionalism, with experience in a similar Housekeeper/Laundress role.

Responsibilities: 

• Manage laundry for a family of 8 members, ensuring meticulous washing, ironing, and organisation of highly delicate and expensive clothing items such as cashmere. 

• Keeping an updated inventory of laundry detergents, sewing kits, and other laundry supplies. 

• Ensuring the laundry facility always remains clean and well-organised. 

• Expertly handling all fabrics, with knowledge of washing, pressing, and steaming techniques. 

• Teaching efficient and proper folding methods to housekeepers to maintain laundry quality. 

• Assist in other household tasks when required, exhibiting flexibility and a willingness to contribute to various responsibilities 

Ideal Candidate: 

• Extensive experience and a high level of professionalism in handling laundry duties, particularly with delicate and expensive fabrics. 

• Proficient in washing, ironing, and organising clothing with utmost care and precision. 

• Expertise in managing a range of fabrics and clothing materials, ensuring their longevity and pristine condition. 

• Fluent in English and Italian to facilitate effective communication with the household members and staff. 

• Possession of a European passport is required 

Package: 

• Salary: €2500 net per month. 

• Accommodation: Provided as part of the employment package, ensuring comfortable and convenient living arrangements.
