Our client, a dynamic international entrepreneur, is seeking an Operations Manager for their newly relocated family office in the beautiful, enchanting setting of Palma de Mallorca.

As the Operations Manager, you will be the cornerstone of the family office operations, managing a diverse array of responsibilities, from financial oversight to estate management, ensuring every aspect of the office runs with precision and finesse.

This position offers a unique opportunity for an inspiring individual to work with a creative team on a variety of exciting projects, all set against the stunning backdrop of this Mediterranean island. Please note, applicants must already be based in Mallorca.

Job duties:

Responsibilities of the Operations Manager in Palma de Mallorca include:

  • Lead the family office with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring top-tier hospitality experiences and seamless operations across all functions
  • Oversee financial, legal, and administrative tasks, including HR, legal matters, finances, insurance, yacht- and property management
  • Manage several estates including the household and office staff
  • Handle staffing, recruitment, and disciplinary matters, focusing on selecting top talent
  • Implement streamlined processes to enhance efficiency
  • Manage contracts and archive important documents with precision
  • Liaise with legal advisors to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Oversee office IT and property assets to maintain high standards
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations to protect privacy
  • Prepare financial reports, manage budgets, and oversee payments accurately
  • Oversee bank accounts, and insurance policies
  • Serve as a gatekeeper for important relationships and maintain the family's reputation

Candidates must be/have:

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership in family office, consulting agency, wealth management, hospitality or property management
  • A Bachelor's degree
  • Exceptional leadership abilities and strong decision-making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Commitment to integrity, ethics, and confidentiality
  • Meticulous attention to detail and dedication to ongoing professional development
  • Strategic vision for long-term preservation and growth
  • Hands-on mentality with a willingness to actively engage in tasks as needed
  • Flexible working hours to accommodate the dynamic needs of the family office
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Fluency in English and Spanish; additional proficiency in German preferred.
