Chief Officer – 64m Expedition MY, Private/Charter- World Cruising

A unique opportunity has become available for an experienced chief officer to join a world class 64m expedition private / charter yacht with a world cruising itinerary

Vessel itinerary will take you around the world over the next 5 years including Chile, then the Caribbean, Arctic (Svalbard, Greenland and Iceland), NW Passage, Japan, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Indian Ocean and many other destinations in-between.

The right candidate near or in possession of 3000gt captains licence can be groomed into the junior Captain position in time

The vessel is uniquely focused and has taken on chartered & private expedition & research style trips

Will consider candidates worldwide but must be available for an almost immediate start

Candidate must:

• Have strong knowledge in ISM, ISPS and MLC.
• Strong knowledge in Flag and Class compliance.
• Great crew management skills.
• Hands on deck during charters and owners trips.
• Experience in Helicopter landings on yachts will be a bonus but not essential.
• Long term commitment (Can lead into a Junior Captains Position)

Starting package:

• Monthly salary US$9,000.00
• Annual bonus US$9,000.00
• Long term incentive: $20,000.00 after three years and then a third of that every following year.
• Vacation is 65 days per year and two return flights per annum to his home country.

Starting date to be between April 24 – 30, 2023.
