Bosun - Permanent - Dubai

We are recruiting a Bosun for a 50m private and charter M/Y based in Dubai. You will be responsible for all aspects of deck, tender and toy maintenance and overseeing the deck team and their training. The yacht has just undergone an extensive refit and intends to be a busy dual season vessel with summers cruising the Mediterranean and winters in the Gulf region. The longest boss trip intends to be around 8 weeks during the summer, with frequent guest and boss trips throughout the rest of the year.

Responsibilities

• - Overseeing the deck team, including teaching/training
• - Tender driving
• - Managing the set up and maintenance of water sport equipment
• - Overseeing maintenance of the exterior

Ideal Candidate

• - 2 years experience on a similar size vessel
• - Good work ethic, leadership/people skills and management skills.
• - Great guest relation skills, charter experience preferred
• - Knowledge of water sport equipment/toys
• - Good working knowledge of paint repairs and deck maintenance.
• - Excellent attention to detail and product knowledge
• - Must have good knowledge of boat handling/driving tenders
• - Professional appearance and positive attitude
• - Longevity in previous roles
• - Verifiable references
• - Yacht master or equivalent will be well considered
• - Basic STCW+ Refresher
• - PDSD
• - ENG1 or equivalent
• - Covid vaccination required
• - Must be eligible to work in the UAE
• - Must be fluent in English
• - Non-Smoker/No visible tattoos
• - Male only due to cabin arrangements

• - Salary: €3,500 - €4,000 Per Month DOE
