Palm Beach Land-Based Housekeeper / Stew

Private Nashville, TN family seeks an experienced housekeeper to assist with the daily cleaning, care, and laundry of their secondary residence in Palm Beach. The position consists of a five-day workweek, with the flexibility to work additional hours or weekend days if needed. The ideal candidate should be extremely detail oriented, have strong knowledge of laundry services in addition to primary housekeeping duties. A proactive attitude towards keeping the home in pristine order, and be able to work seamlessly with additional household staff.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• All aspects of general housekeeping and deep cleaning of residence
• Ability to perform museum-quality cleaning with proficiency in special surfaces (wood, glass, leather, furniture, antiques, silver, brass, fine artwork, etc.)
• Grocery shopping for the family and residence; ensuring proper groceries and stock levels are in residence at all times
• Maintenance of home for guest readiness at all times including making beds, preparing rooms etc.
• Managing and assuming laundry duties for the family
• Ensuring outdoor areas are neat and tidy, and cushions are put out and put away at the appropriate times
• Management and organization of all closets, pantries, and storage areas
• Packing and unpacking of suitcases
• Floral arrangements
• Preparation and serving of drinks and light snacks
• Additional Housekeeper responsibilities associated with the role as needed and requested

Requirements:

• Strong command of English language; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
• Minimum 5 – 7+ years related experience working in a private home in a similar role or roles for a private family
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a domestic team
• Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities
• Computer savvy with proficiency in both Mac and PC systems, including Office, Internet, and email; proficient in ordering online groceries, household products, etc.
• Must be comfortable working around pets; walking, feeding, and caring for the family’s dog
• Legally able to work in the United States
