Head Housekeeper, Private Villa , South of France, St Jean Cap Ferrat

HEAD HOUSEKEEPER POSITION - EXPERIENCED CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED

About the Villa

It is an absolutely beautiful Villa located in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, which is a famous place located in between Nice and Monaco, in the South of France. 

It is a 600 m2 villa ish with a stunning view on the sea front. 

The villa is used by the owners and their guests, mostly during the summer season, more or less 3 months in the year. 

The Villa is used to work under very high standard and responds to high demand. 

In regards to the staff, there are already several people working within the villa. There is a Villa Manager in charge of the entire staff and of the management of the Villa. 

All the positions are LIVE OUT. 

The project

We are looking for 1 Head Housekeeper ready to start working within the next two weeks.

The Villa is generally not used by the owners during the winter, therefore, you will need to do the maintenance of the general Housekeeping. Builders are working on site under the supervision of the Villa Manager. We are looking for someone who is hands on and who knows what to do and to organise themselves without waiting for instructions. 

We are also looking for someone who is discrete, specially when owners are in the Villa as they are used to do their own things and not to be disturbed. They aren't very talkative. 

This could become a permanent contract with a one month trial, renewable for one month. But for now, nothing has been planned and it could be a seasonal contract for the winter or coming on punctual demands, basically 3 times a week, all weeks during the winter. This will be defined with the right candidate. 

You will report directly to the Villa Manager and you will be in charge of two housekeepers during the summer season. 

You will follow the instructions from the Villa Manager on how to perform properly in housekeeping, laundry and service, you will make sure that they understand the requests and the standards that need to be met. 

You will in charge of doing the housekeeping, laundry and service. 

In regards to the laundry, you will be dealing with the linen of the Villa. However, the owner's linen will go directly to the dry-cleaners, as some of the bed linen to faciliate your work. 

You will be MAINLY in charge of doing service and housekeeping. Service such as the breakfast service, the lunch service, the dinner service, depending on the rotation you are on, you will be doing either the breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner service. There will be 2 shifts : one shift in the morning/beginning afternoon and one shift in the afternoon/beginning evening. 

You will rotate on the shifts will the 2 housekeepers. 

You will be doing the housekeeping and take care of the laundry, and you will need to :

• take care of all the duties in regards to the Laundry generally speaking
• Basically, you will in charge of all the linen of the Villa such as towels, bathrobes, bath mats, bed sheets, pillowcases, kitchen cloth, table cloth, etc...
• You will be in charge of washing them and cleaning them, removing possible stains, drying them, ironing them, checking that they are in a perfect state before folding them in wardrobes or putting them on hangers in the dressings. 
• You will also be in charge of ironing all the linen and the clothes. 
• You will be in charge of cleaning the wardrobes and the dressings. 
• You will be in charge of putting the clothes and the linen within the proper wardrobes and dressings. 
• You also need to clean the handbags and the shoes before putting them back in the wardrobes. 
• You will  be in charge of putting/changing the bedsheets on all the beds, depending on the frequency given by the owners. The beds must always be immaculate and in a perfect state.  
• You will also be in charge of contacting the dry cleaners for all the owner's clothes which need specific treatment and ask them to come and collect them.

You will be in charge of all the housekeeping in the Villa, making sure that all the bedrooms and bathrooms are in a perfect state. That the main areas as corridors, living rooms are always dusted, tidy and well organized in accordance to the owner's habits. 

Desired profile 

• You must be very autonomous and able to report and respect your hierarchy in the same time. 
• We are looking for someone who is passionate about service and likes to work in private villas. Previous experience as a housekeeper or as a Head Housekeeper is MANDATORY. 
• You are comfortable in housekeeping, service and laundry. 
• You are multi task and flexible, able to follow the processes that are already implemented and able to be reactive when facing something unusual. If someone in the team needs help, you need to be hands on. The team is very close, and everybody, even the Villa Manager work hands in hands. 
• You are a smiling person, you like to work in a team and you are discrete. You have a positive attitude. 
• You are autonomous but you know to work in a team. 
• You are always on time and present well, you have a real sense of human relations and communication comes with an ease to you. 
• You MUST speak French. English is a plus. 
• You MUST have a car and a driving licence as you can not access the Villa easily, public transport option can not be considered. 
• You DO NOT HAVE A CRIMINAL RECORD, you are honest and trustworthy. 

Salary : 3000 - 3500 euros net per month 

Weekends off when the owners are not around and flexibilty is required when they are in the Villa, you will have one day and a half off during the week. 

The Villa Manager is very careful to this matter.
